Scott K. Wilderman is the President and CEO of Career Resources, one of the nation’s leading non-profit workforce development organizations. Scott has considerable experience in both the private and the non-profit sectors. After earning a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, he worked in human resources at General Dynamics in the Electric Boat Division. He subsequently became the Training Manager at Advest Financial Services and moved into the non-profit sector through his interest in working with disadvantaged youth. Scott joined Career Resources after holding senior management positions at the Community Renewal Team in Hartford. He has nearly twenty-five years of experience in the workforce development system, where he has developed excellent working relationships throughout New England. Scott is highly skilled in building community investment in collaborative ventures as seen through his work around re-entry and job training across the state.
He currently serves as the board chair for the Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition and is a member of the board for the Connecticut Patriot Guard Riders and Connecticut United Way. Some of Scott’s notable successes are as the founder of the Bridgeport ReEntry Roundtable along with the merger of the STRIVE programs throughout Connecticut.
Scott lives in Westbrook, Connecticut with his wife Lisa and their two daughters, Morgan and Amanda. When not working, he enjoys riding his Harley and gardening.
Angela works to secure public and private funding for CRI’s programs, while developing and maintaining relationships with funders and supporters. Born and raised in Connecticut, Angela returned to her home state in 2015 after working in Washington, DC for 15 years. During this time, she worked for an NGO that implemented international exchange, training, and development programs for the federal government. Angela worked primarily on State Department-sponsored exchange programs for up-and-coming professionals from around the world. She has a B.A. in Comparative Government and Italian Studies from Wesleyan University, and an M.A. in International Development from American University. Angela lives in Shelton with her husband and three children.
Rob grew up in Plymouth, Connecticut and is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University. Over the last twenty years, Rob has worked the full spectrum of social services positions, including Mental Health and Addiction Services, Law Enforcement, Probation, and Prison Re-entry. Most recently Rob was the senior Job Developer and Media Spokesperson for the State of Connecticut’s STRIDE program, which served every community in Connecticut that accepted discharged inmates. He has built longstanding relationships with the business community as well as various media outlets and state agencies. As of January 2018, he will also be serving as the Bridgeport Re-entry Council’s chairperson and also serves on the advisory board for the Bridgeports Mayor’s Initiative for Re-entru affairs. In the fall of 2018 Rob was chosen to serve on the Criminal Justice commitee of Governor Lamont’s transtition team. He has lived in Naugatuck with his wife Katie and daughters Amaya and Brooklyn for the last 8 years.
Anne serves as the One-Stop Operator in Hartford under a contract with Capital Workforce Partners. With over twenty years of experience in the employment and training field, Anne is well-versed in WIOA and TANF regulations. She served on the Service Provider Committee of the Connecticut Employment and Training Commission, and on the People to Jobs Transportation Task Force and is a past president of the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness. Anne began her career in the non-profit sector as a case manager in Hartford’s Stewart Kinney Men’s Homeless Shelter and is committed to making American Job Centers an option for the entire community. Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Connecticut State University. Anne shares her home with her wife, Sue, two domineering cats and two spoiled dogs.
In February 2017, Dr. William Clark joined Career Resources Inc. (CRI) as the Director of STRIVE Connecticut. He is responsible for the operations of the program and its outcomes. Prior to joining CRI, Dr. Clark served as the Director of Workforce Solutions Collaborative of Metro Hartford. During his tenure, he raised over $2 million in grant funding, helped 50% of job seekers served earn an occupational skill certification in the healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation sectors, and assisted 60% of participants obtain a good job with family sustaining wages. Prior to joining Workforce Solutions, Dr. Clark served as Director of Special Projects for the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Economic Opportunity where he was responsible for over $4.5 billion of Economic Opportunity Plans (EOPs), ensuring supplier, employment, and job seeker diversity for major construction projects. Dr. Clark holds a Doctor of Strategic Leadership degree from Regent University and a Masters of Leadership Development degree from Penn State University.
New to the leadership team, Daniele joined Career Resources in 2007 and serves as the One-Stop Operator in the Southwest. Born and raised in New York, Daniele started her career in workforce development in 2001 at Volunteers of America Greater New York. She then moved to Connecticut in 2007. Daniele is well-versed in WIOA and TANF regulations, and has over 15 years of experience in both transitional housing and employment and training education. She holds a B.A. in Human Services from Metropolitan College of New York. Daniele lives in Bridgeport with her significant other and four children.
Kathy was born in Belleville, IL and grew up in Waterbury, Connecticut. She was educated in the Waterbury Public Schools and Mattatuck Community College. Kathy has worked in the Employment and Training field for 45 years. She worked her way up the career ladder through various positions in Employment Development. Her goal is always to help people succeed in becoming productive and self-sufficient members of society. Kathy has extensive experience and knowledge of WIOA policies and procedures. She is very active in her church and enjoys working with the people in the community. Kathy has been blessed with a daughter, son in-law and 2 grandsons.
