WORKFORCE READINESS

Career Resources, Inc. reputation as a statewide leader in workforce development has been built on its ability to build and manage effective collaborations and partnerships across the state.

CRI collaborates with multiple organizations and agencies, including the Connecticut Department of Labor, the Department of Education's Adult Education and Literacy Programs, the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, the Department of Social Services, and multiple community-based organizations.

Career Resources offers many programs that foster occupational skills and assist individuals to earn nationally recognized credentials in such areas as food safety and PPE training.

JUSTICE-IMPACTED INITIATIVES
Career Resources, Inc. understands the barriers to employment that are placed on citizens returning to their communities from incarceration. We are dedicated to helping these individuals find and retain employment. CRI’s reputation as a statewide leader in workforce development and re-entry programs has been built on its ability to build and manage effective collaborations and partnerships across the state. The agency collaborates with CT Department of Correction through its work-release and other reentry programs in Bridgeport. CRI works closely with the CT Re-entry Collaborative and the re-entry roundtables and welcome centers across the state of Connecticut to support returning citizens on their path to successful re-integration and stable employment.
YOUTH PROGRAMS

Professional development and college readiness is offered to young people, ages 16 to 24, of the Greater Bridgeport area.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Personal assistance, development, and learning opportunities are offered to individuals seeking economic self-sufficiency.

Resources and services include identification of local resources, services, assistance with job search, ENGLISH AS A second language proficiency, tax preparation, and GED testing.
