Career Resources’ 18th Annual Community Job Fair is less than a week away!
This year’s event will be at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, with more than 60 employers and exhibitors. In addition to employers looking to hire, the Fair will offer resources for employers and jobseekers, including Access Health CT Assisters to help people sign up for health insurance; advice on tax credits for employers and jobseekers; “Mastering the Job Interview” for jobseekers; workshops on disability disclosure; and live resume critique from certified Resume Writers.
Jobseekers can also visit the CTWorks/American Job Center at 350 Fairfield Ave. between 9 -11 a.m. any day before the job fair for personalized resume critiques and assistance. At the Fair, the Career Coach, a mobile computer lab, will be available for jobseekers to use to update their resumes, and both print and upload them to the Internet for employers to access.
The Career Fair is open to the public between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sponsors include Career Resources Inc., The WorkPlace Inc., the Connecticut Department of Labor and Webster Bank Arena. Certified “VIP” jobseekers, who have met CRI standards of readiness and training, will be allowed in prior to the public portion of the job fair to meet with employers.
