Health Care Deadline Approaching: Sign Up by March 31

Need health care?

March 31st is the last day to enroll through the state’s health insurance exchange.  After that people may pay a fine for not being covered, and the next open enrollment period will be in November.

Connecticut continues to lead the nation in helping people get health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, and CRI is pleased to help, with three Assisters working in Bridgeport and New Haven.

“People are very glad once they have come in and gotten covered,” said Sam Davis, one of CRI’s two Assisters working in Bridgeport.

“You may think you can’t afford it, but you probably can,” he added. “The process is very quick and easy. People can call for an appointment to avoid waiting, but we take walk-ins too.”

To learn more or make an appointment, contact Sam at (203) 963-3271 or davis@careerresources.org; Sandy Vining, also in Bridgeport, at (203) 953-3230 or vining@careerresources.org; or Tanesha Lowe in New Haven, at (203) 777-1720 or lowe@careerresources.org.

People may also contact the Connecticut  Official Health Insurance Marketplace,  AccessHealthCT.com, or by calling  1 (855) 805-4325.
