Due to anticipated program expansion, Positive Regard Network invites applicants to apply for the position of Clinician, supporting our various programs in Connecticut. Position requires an advanced degree in Social Work or Psychology and current/valid MA license in a clinical field (LMHC, LCSW, LICSW). 2+ years in a diverse clinical setting preferred.
-Provide Case management of assigned students including phone contact with parents, physicians, and other service providers.
-Provide direct clinical service, e.g., individual, group and/or family therapy as determined or outlined in Individual Education Plans.
-Facilitate weekly clinical/and or psychoeducational groups with students.
-Provide Classroom or small group instruction in social/emotional behavioral skills.
-Assist students with academics as determined by teachers to support the student’s emotional/behavioral skill building.
-Maintain regular contact and participate in daily and/or weekly meeting with teachers, administrators and other stakeholders.
-Consult on issues of behavior, function of behavior and therapeutic issues as they relate to classroom functioning.
-Perform behavioral observations and assessments to assist and contribute to the development of behavioral plans for each student.
-Provide emergency clinical services including referrals based on psychiatric crisis.
-Represents SBS and assigned Public School in a professional manner at community meetings and events, including court, conferences, etc., as needed or requested.
-Writes family assessments, psychosocial evaluations, clinical assessments or summaries, case notes, progress reports, discharge summaries,other clinical reports as requested or as needed. -Participate in weekly scheduled supervision.
-Plans and provide training for school staff as needed or requested.
-Assist in development and implementation of transition plans for students changing school or classroom settings.
-Adhere to professional licensing standards while upholding the school model of treatment. -Maintain professional license and participates in conferences, workshops or other courses for professional development
Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology & current/valid MA license in a clinical field (LMHC, LCSW, LICSW) required, along with considerable experience in the field of counseling (2+ years in a diverse clinical setting).
