Thanks to the Rotary Club of Bridgeport Foundation for its generous donation of $500 to Career Resources Inc. to provide backpacks and school supplies for children whose parents participate in our programs!
Thanks to the donation, children of participants in both the Fathers for Life and Jobs First Employment Services (JFES) programs received backpacks, as well as gift cards to cover school supplies.
Fathers for Life offers non-custodial and custodial parents case management and certified parenting group classes to help build emotional and financial connection with their children. JFES offers parents receiving Temporary Family Assistance in establishing and pursuing an Individual Employment Plan to become employed. Twenty-five families in all received the backpacks and gift cards.
