Hartford Youth Program

A Work Ready Program, Partnered with Capital Workforce Partners

A WIOA opportunity, our Hartford Youth Program is for young adults ages 18-24 years old that face major barriers to employment and are looking to obtain ServSafe certification for the food service industry. We are located in Hartford and serve clients in Hartford, Manchester, New Britain, and East Hartford.

A Work Ready Program

A unique three-week attitudinal job readiness course in a simulated work environment, emphasizing personal accountability; includes case management, job leads and two years of follow-up support.

Youth Career Advancement

Youth Career Advancement (YCA) is a free, 8 week professional development program operated in partnership with CareerHub. This program focuses on enhancing career-and college-readiness in the 16-24 year-olds in the Greater Bridgeport area.

GED Testing

Licensed as a registered testing site through Pearson Vue, individual test takers can complete all four parts of the GED test at CRI, which includes Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. These tests are every Wednesday from 4-8pm and Friday from 9am-4pm at CRI headquarters.  

If you're interested in taking your GED exam at CRI, please: 

  1. Register for an account at GED.com using button below
  2. Take and pass the GED Ready practice test
  3. Schedule your test within 60 days of passing practice test 
  4. Make sure to select Career Resources as the testing location! 

Jobs First Employment Services

NW & SW AJC Services

CRI provides Jobs First Employment Services (JFES) case management services to the northwest and southwest regions. Program participants work with their Case Manager to develop an Individualized Employment Plan (IEP), including skill-building workshops, education and training programs and other activities geared towards obtaining and maintaining sustainable employment.

SW AJC Services

Everyone Works is open to any jobseeker aged 18 or older with disabilities. Clients receive individualized counseling, job search assistance, and access to adaptive technology. There are no income or residency restrictions.

Under our WorkReady team, Platform 2 Employment Reentry helps assist justice-involved citizens with work readiness and career development training. Training includes career-related tools, financial counseling, and other resources to secure employment.

CRI provides as needed online individualized tutoring services working on remedial math for clients enrolled in the Health Career Academy Program and who have an interest in Health Care programs such as Sterile Processing, Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Billing and Coding, and Dental Assisting.
