American Job Center

American Job Centers provide a full range of assistance to job seekers under one roof. Established under the United States’ Workforce Investment Act, and reauthorized in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act of 2014, the American Job Center offer training referrals, career counseling, job listings, and similar employment-related services. Customers can visit an American Job Center in person, connect online to the Center’s information, or access a Center’s resources through remote kiosk.

Career Resources provides employment training and case management services through the American Job Centers serving Connecticut’s Northwest region (Danbury) and Southwest region (Bridgeport).

Program participants work with their Case Manager to develop an Individualized Employment Plan, including skill-building workshops, education and training programs, and other activities geared towards obtaining and maintaining sustainable employment.
