Career Resources serves people with disabilities through the Everyone Works center. Everyone Works, is a well-established, trusted resource and focal point in the American Job Center SW community for individuals with disabilities seeking employment. The staff at the Bureau of Rehabilitative Services, Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind, and the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services frequently refer clients to Everyone Works.
Career Resources has installed assistive technology in the Everyone Works center, including computer stations with speech cards, a Braille embosser, wheelchair accessible tables, TDD/TYY, JAWS Screen Reader for the blind and vision impaired, Dragon Voice Recognition software, Open Book Software (speech to text conversion), large screen computers, and adjustable tables and chairs.
