The City of Bridgeport’s Gun Violence Prevention Initiative is a collaborative effort led by the Mayor’s Office to address the root causes of violence through prevention, intervention, support services, and community engagement. As part of this initiative, Career Resources has received a sub-award to provide intensive case management services through a new program known as Safety Through Education, Employment, and Prevention (STEEP). STEEP is designed to support individuals who may be at risk of involvement in violence by connecting them with employment opportunities, education, supportive services, and individualized case management aimed at creating pathways to long-term stability and success.
