Workforce Readiness
Career Resources, Inc. reputation as a statewide leader in workforce development has been built on its ability to build and manage effective collaborations and partnerships across the state. Career Resources collaborates with multiple organizations and agencies, including the Connecticut Department of Labor, the Department of Education’s Adult Education and Literacy Programs, the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, the Department of Social Services, and multiple community-based organizations.
Justice-Impacted Initiatives
Career Resources understands the barriers to employment that are placed on citizens returning to their communities from incarceration. We are dedicated to helping these individuals find and retain employment. Career Resources collaborates with CT Department of Correction through its work-release and other reentry programs in Bridgeport. Career Resources works closely with the CT Reentry Collaborative and the reentry roundtables and welcome centers across the state of Connecticut to support returning citizens on their path to successful re-integration and stable employment.
Community Support
Career Resources offers personal assistance, development, and learning opportunities to individuals seeking economic self-sufficiency. Resources and services include identification of local resources, foster grandparents, assistance with job search, tax preparation, and GED testing.
Youth Programs
Career Resources offers professional development and college readiness programs to young people, ages 16 to 24, in the Greater Bridgeport region.
